The United States offers different routes into higher education. EducationUSA explains that community colleges offer associate degrees and that some students transfer to a university to complete a bachelor’s degree through a two-plus-two pathway. Transfer arrangements and credit acceptance should be confirmed with both institutions before you enrol. EducationUSA also explains institutional and programme accreditation and directs students to official accreditation resources. Compare your chosen course’s entry requirements, English language requirements, application dates and total costs directly with the college or university. Check accreditation and professional recognition for your intended career, and review the curriculum before accepting an offer.
